22 mo. old in small space

We are currently camping in our TT at a campground. My 4 yr. old little girl is loving it. There's a lot for her to do, ride bike, swim, play at the playground, you get the idea. My 22 mo. old, on the other hand, is not having such a great time. It takes a lot to keep her occupied. She especially has a hard time confined in a small space. We take her for walks and try our best to keep her busy, but it hasn't been easy. Help, if you can!

I bought 2 vinyl stripes to put on our TT, but I'm looking for new creative ways to spruce up our TT. Any ideas or pictures?

chocolate oatmeal cookies

I believe this is a "Southern" recipe. Not many people have heard of this, but it is a great, quick dessert.
Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies
2 c. sugar
1/2 stick margarine
1/2 c. milk
4 tsp. cocoa (use more if you want them more chocolatey)
1tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. peanut butter
3 c. quick oats
Mix first 5 ingredients and boil 1 min. Remove from heat and add peanut butter and oats. Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper.
Try this kids love them.

dog "going" on concrete

We have a 6 mo. old chocolate lab. We bought her at 3 mo. She had been raised in a kennel on a concrete pad and that is where she had been doing all her business. We live in the country and she is an outdoor dog (free to roam). But, she still "goes" on our garage floor, if the door is open, or on the porch. Has anyone else had this problem and found a way to stop this behavior?

RE: A new way to camp for us this year

I didn't know there was already a post about seasonal camping and I just asked a question about how seasonal sites work (in another forum) If anyone can inform me more on this topic I would greatly appreciate it.

RE: Thousand Trails Membership

My parents are TT members. They would like to sell it because they hardly ever use it. Am I correct in understanding that they can privately sell their membership? How about if I were to take over the dues or would I need to buy it?

seasonal camp site

I was wondering if anyone can give me some info about how seasonal camp sites work. We like the idea of taking our TT somewhere close to home and leaving it for the summer. Do most CG offer this? Does anyone know of a CG that offers this in TN or AL?

RE: Thousand Trails Natchez Trace NACO

My wife was just showing me a list of Nevada Barr book titles and the National Parks they take place in. She mentioned Natchez Trace because its not far from us (NC) and asked me to find a campground.
What is NACO? Is Natchez Trace NACO the place to go?
Thousand Trails is a private CG. It is 1/2 mile off the Natchez Trace in Hohnewald, TN. They have 126 full hookups, 527 power/water hookups, and 58 cabins.
They have a lake, 2 pools, tennis & basketball courts, playgrounds, and alot more. Search the web for 1000trails and then look for CG in TN and look at NACO. They have a calander of all the events for this year listed.
We have never been on the 4th of July, but it looks like fun. We are going to try it this year.

RE: camping with toddlers

Do you have any friends or coworkers that have kids and camp? We now have a group of six or seven familes that go out at least every two months for a weekend. The kids range in age from three to thirteen. The older ones can help keep and eye on the younger ones.
I have one friend that camps, but we haven't been camping together yet. She has two young children also. I would love to find more families to camp with.

RE: Natchez Trace, is mid-April a good time?

We live close to mile marker 350 ,in Tennessee, off the Natchez Trace. Heads up on road construction. They are building a new bridge and there is a detour.

camping with toddlers

Hello!
I am new to the forum. I have been looking for a while now and decided to join in. My husband and I bought a used travel trailer last fall. Neither one of us have any experience with camping. We have only been camping once so far. I am excited about this summer. We have a 19 mo. old and a 4 year old. (Both girls) Do any of you have any tips or advice for us? We live in Middle Tennesse and we don't plan on camping too far from home until we get the hang of it.:)
